Below is a tutorial on installing a short-ram intake on a 4g15 engine. The replacement is straightforward since this engine doesn't have a mass airflow (MAF) sensor.
Lift the hood and pop the two wire clips holding the airbox together. Remove the filter.
Locate the clam connecting the inside half of the airbox to the intake arm. Unscrew the clamp bolt.
Unhook the inside half of the air box from the matching square holes at the bottom of the outside half.
Locate the clamp connecting the intake arm to the throttle body. Unscrew the clamp bolt.
Remove the positive crankcase ventilation valve (PCV tube) connecting the inlet tube to the valve cover.
Pop the throttle cable out of the its stay and remove the inlet tube.
